You've learned a bunch of steps in group classes, and now you are eager to know how to dance them better. Maybe you aren't able to afford regular weekly Private Lessons. Or maybe you'd rather learn in a group environment where you can meet with friends and learn among your peers.
The JC Dance Co. Rising Star Squad is the first of it's kind. Here, you will learn ballroom technique that is usually only taught in Private Lessons. You will receive detailed personalized instruction from both Joel and Clara at the cost of a regular group class. Not only will you receive first-class instruction, but you will also receive our coveted class summaries emailed to you after each and every class!
The Rising Star Squad is an ongoing Standard Technique class for people who are interested in learning more technique rather than more and more steps. In this class, we do not just teach routines. We teach short selected patterns, only to be used as a vehicle to discuss the technique that will help you to become better leaders or followers and will push you to new heights in your dancing.
The Squad is designed for dancers who are interested in either being better dancers and/or starting to compete at the Newcomer, Pre-Bronze, Bronze and/or Silver levels. We will address both aspects of competitive and non-competitive dancing, as we have a good mix of both in the Squad.
The Squad is of course more beneficial for couples, however, singles are more than welcome to join us. Keep in mind that if you don't have a partner, you will increase your chances of getting one, if you become a better dancer in your own right.
The Rising Star Squad is now an ongoing technique class and will cover themes of essential technique that can be used in all the ballroom dances. It is of course more beneficial if you sign up for the entire session to get the big picture of how all the information ties in together. However, each session can certainly stand on it's own, so you are welcome to drop-in at anytime.

$180/person for all 12 training sessions (only $15/person/lesson - which is a savings of $60!!!)
$20 drop-in for adults
$18 drop-in for full-time students*** Keep in mind that if you sign up for all 12 sessions, not only will you be eligible for the JC Student Benefit Package, but you will also receive the class notes, even if you are absent from the class!
